Editorial- Education as a transformative tool
Education is fundamental for the development of children and adolescents. At Save the Children, we firmly believe that qualitative, inclusive, and equitable education is key to ensure that every girl, boy, and adolescent has the opportunity to reach their full potential and build a dignified future. As part of our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4 – Quality Education) of the 2030 Agenda, we work to make education accessible, safe, and transformative, especially for the most vulnerable populations in Bolivia.
In this newsletter, we share the initiative of Reading Clubs, through which we strengthened reading comprehension and socioemotional skills of thousands of girls and boys; the implementation of the Vroom tool for early childhood, which improved early interaction among mothers, fathers, and caregivers with children, enhancing their cognitive and emotional development; our response in education in emergencies, which aimed to ensure educational continuity in crisis contexts; as well as vocational training for adolescents and youth through the Power 4AY project.
You will also find experiences with local organizations with which we promoted the educational inclusion of children with disabilities and in vulnerable situations, overcoming barriers to access and permanence in the education system.
Each experience, result, and shared challenge is an opportunity to inspire, learn, and strengthen our collective impact and reaffirm our commitment to build a future where every girl, boy, and adolescent in Bolivia has access to quality education.
